London-based distributor Banijay Rights has acquired the rights to Diana: The Truth Behind Her Death (w/t), an hour-long film set to reveal new details about Diana, the Princess of Wales’ death.

Produced by Tony Comiti for France’s M6, the one-off special (pictured) features exclusive interviews with contributors and witnesses to the crash that killed the Princess of Wales in the Alma tunnel, including members of the investigative team and first responders.

The film, directed by Manuel Laigre, will also use re-enactment footage to reconstruct key events of the accident 20 years later.

Elsewhere, British sales house Twofour Rights has sent three projects from Oxford Scientific Films into Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.

The 3 x 60-minute Inside Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel, which provides access into one of the world’s most exclusive hotels during its busiest season, has been picked up by RTL Nederland for Luxemburg and the Netherlands, Medialaan in Belgium, Yes in Israel, Manoto in Iran and Foxtel’s Lifestyle channel in Australia.

Elsewhere, Twofour has secured deals with Finland’s MTV OY, Hungary’s Origo Media, Belgium’s VRT, Czech Republic’s FTV Prima, France’s France 5 and Australia’s Nine Network to broadcast Extraordinary Animals (4 x 60 minutes), which follows wildlife experts across the globe that reveal animal behavioral stories.

BBC Earth has also acquired Extraordinary Animals for territories in Africa and Poland, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific for Asian territories and Bell Media has taken the series for French-speaking Canada.

Finally, hour-long special The Dog with an IQ of 102 has been sold to TVB Hong Kong, YES Israel, Discovery Networks Norway and Discovery Networks Sweden and TV2 Denmark, as well as Viasat World for Central Eastern Europe and Russia. The series spotlights the world of super intelligent pets and their eccentric owners.

Sales were brokered by Holly Hodges, Rob Bassett, Eniela Bella and Reka Gaspar.

UK-based distribution house Silverlining Rights, meanwhile, has acquired the ITN Productions-made documentary Ivanka Trump: America’s Real First Lady?

Silverlining has inked pre-sale deals with channels in Australia, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Netherlands and Canada.

The 60-minute film examines the relationship between Donald Trump and his eldest daughter and whether she currently serves as the most powerful woman in the world.

Ivanka Trump: America’s Real First Lady? first aired on British pubcaster Channel 4 on May 15.
