Gil Formats’ Pregnant and Platonic inks new deals in Italy and Finland

Gil Formats’ factual entertainment format Pregnant and Platonic has inked new deals with two production companies: Bulldog TV in Italy and ITV Studios in Finland.

Co-developed by Gil Formats with U.S.-based prodco MY Entertainment, Pregnant & Platonic sheds light on men and women looking to have a child without becoming romantically involved. The series is based on Gil Formats’ CEO Assaf Gil’s personal journey to parenthood.

In this format, hopeful co-parents are guided through the process by experts in co-parenting. Once they choose a partner to have a child with, the series follows the couples as they face numerous challenges and difficult decisions before they can turn their dreams of becoming parents into a reality. Each story will hopefully result in a baby being born.

The format will be distributed by Gil Formats at NATPE Budapest 2017.
