The Australian production branch of Keo Films UK will close as of Dec. 31 as the company realigns its business.

The Sydney-based office had recent success with ABC’s docuseries War on Waste (pictured), which brought in 759,000 viewers during its debut. However, Andrew Palmer, London-based chief operating officer, Keo Films UK said the decision to end operations “best serves our corporate interests at this stage.”

Palmer said KEO will be working with its Australian partners to deliver on all projects currently in the pipeline

“We are also committed to building partnerships that ensure our shows will still be seen in Australia,” he said.

With the news of these changes, managing director Brendan Dahill and Keo Films have mutually agreed that Dahill will depart the company, said a release from Keo Films.

CEO Debbie Manners will also leave the company — a move confirmed in early June. The company will be led from the UK by Palmer and chief operating officer Simon Huntley.
