Endemol Shine UK has added London-based entertainment and factual prodco Sharp Jack TV to the company’s umbrella.

The company will be run by former ITV Studio creative heads, Elliot Johnson and Amanda Wilson. The deal sees the duo join Endemol Shine UK as joint managing directors of Sharp Jack TV along with their existing IP and developments, to grow the label within the UK group.

Johnson and Wilson founded Sharp Jack Media in 2011 and have since gone on to develop a variety of shows for Britain and Ireland including Four Heads, Scorchio and Queer as Pop. Currently in production are two pilots, including the dating show Always the Bridesmaid for TLC UK and Raised by the Village for RTÉ One.

Prior to being the creative head of entertainment development at ITV Studios, Wilson (pictured, right) created and ran Tinderbox Television for the Avalon Group and also headed the BBC development team, which developed Strictly Come Dancing. She has also produced Saturday night game shows for Hat Trick Productions, including The Waiting Game.

Johnson (pictured, left) started his career producing music videos for artists such as Bjork, Massive Attack and Smashing Pumpkins and producing music programming for the BBC including Top of the Pops, Bowie at the Beeb and Glastonbury for the BBC. He met Wilson when he joined Tinderbox before the duo moved to run development at ITV Studios.
