British pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a new documentary that aims to capture a snapshot of marriage in modern Britain.

How to Make Your Marriage Work (1×60′) from Curve Media follows five married couples to find out what glues them together.

Ranging from seven to 47 years of marriage, viewers will find out how these couples met, fell in love and, perhaps most importantly, what has kept them together. They shed light on everything from the importance of sex in a relationship, the strain that children can take on a relationship, and whether they’ve been tempted to stray.

“It was such a refreshing experience to spend time with the couples in this documentary,” said Philippa Robinson, producer director, in a statement. “Their interviews are at times funny and at times moving as they share with us their wedding videos and talk candidly about the ups and downs of their relationships since the day they publicly pledged their love for each other.”

The program is produced by Curve Media, with Charlie Bunce executive producing. Philippa Robinson is the producer director. The doc will air later this summer.
