A+E Networks channel Lifetime has appointed BET Networks exec Brie Miranda Bryant as senior vice-president, unscripted development and programming.

Based in New York, Bryant will report to Liz Gateley, EVP and head of programming for Lifetime and will be responsible for development and overseeing production of non-scripted projects for the network.

She replaces Mariana Flynn, who held the position since late September 2016.

Bryant was most recently SVP, development and production for BET Networks, leading the east and west coast teams on all areas of development and production.

Prior to working at BET, Bryant was VP, development and production for NBC Universal’s Oxygen network, where she spent over a decade growing the network’s programming slate. During her time there, Bryant oversaw shows such as Bad Girls Club, The Preachers franchise, Sisterhood of Hip Hop, #Killerpost and Jersey Couture.

Prior to Oxygen, Bryant worked in publishing at Teen Vogue and in the film sector at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Lifetime also recently hired former E! Entertainment Television exec Lauren Celinski as VP of unscripted development and programming. In her role, Celenski is tasked with overseeing the network’s unscripted slate while also developing original non-fiction programming.
