Snap Inc. has greenlit production of the unscripted comedy series, Ghost Hunt, co-produced by mobile-first content studio Vertical Networks and Avalon.

The eight-episode series is slated to air on Snapchat’s Shows platform later this year.

The series is the first co-pro partnership between Vertical Networks and Avalon. It also marks Avalon’s first time producing a show for Snapchat.

In each episode of Ghost Hunt, comedian and host Matteo Lane takes aim at the modern dating issue of “ghosting” —  when someone ends a relationship abruptly, and without explanation. Lane (pictured) helps people track down someone from their romantic pasts who ghosted them and brings them together for  closure. Along the way, Lane serves up his own brand of dating wisdom.

The series is executive produced by Chloe Pisello at Avalon and Matt Harper at Vertical Networks..

Snap Inc. and Vertical Networks also recently teamed up for two new shows on Snapchat’s Discovery platform. Yes Theory is a series featuring four best friends from four different countries who travel the world looking for personal growth by challenging themselves, while Without Limits follows 23-year-old videographer Jeremiah Davis and his friends on journeys to capture footage from some of the world’s most thrilling and hard-to-reach-places.
