Former Sky exec Nicola Bamford has been appointed CEO, international operations at global producer-distributor Endemol Shine Group.
In her new role, Bamford is responsible for operating companies in China, France, Iberia, India, Italy, Israel and South East Asia. Marina Williams, COO, international operations whose oversight includes Central, Eastern European and Middle East territories, Poland, Russia and Africa, will report to her.
Based out of the company’s Amsterdam and London offices, Bamford will report to Sophie Turner Laing, CEO, Endemol Shine Group. She will begin her role in October.
Bamford takes over the position from Martha Brass, who stepped down from the role last month after having spent eight years with the company.
Bamford joins Endemol Shine from Sky, where she held a series of senior roles across the UK, Germany and India over the last decade, most recently as director, international OTT.
Her previous roles include director of Sky Store; chief content and business development officer for Tata Sky in Mumbai; SVP programming for Sky Deutschland; and director, channels and operations at Sky UK.
Before joining Sky in 2004, Bamford held the role of VP, ventures and business development for The Walt Disney Company.
