London-based indie Zig Zag Productions has elevated commercial director Matt Graff to the newly created role of managing director.

In his new role as managing director, Graff will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operation of the company and driving growth. Graff will continue to report to CEO Danny Fenton.

He joined Zig Zag in 2014 from Viacom where he held the position of CEEMA senior director, production and commissioning. Since his appointment to commercial director in 2014, Graff has been responsible for the company’s commercial opportunities and off-air rights exploitation.

Graff has also been integral to some recent key deals for Zig Zag, including the development of the copro agreement with Krempelwood Entertainment to produce the upcoming Jamie Vardy documentary series for Sky Sports, and negotiation of the sale of the series British Treasure, American Gold (6 x 60 minutes) for Quest / RMC Découverte, for which he also served as executive producer.

Zig Zag’s current and recent projects include Blink for UK pubcaster Channel 4, Body Bizarre for Discovery and Japandemonium for ITV.
