Pact boosts exports focus, appoints export ambassadors

The ambassadors include Denman Rooke, executive chairman October Films; David Flynn, co-founder, Youngest Media; Maartje Horchner, international EVP of acquisitions, all3media; and Tom Brisely, creative director with Arrow Media.

According to a release, Youngest Media is developing a strong export strategy and their dating show Game of Clones, just sold as a format in France.

All3media’s Horchner has been involved in a variety of Pact industry working groups, including the export accelerator launch and tour in the UK which helped advise companies on creating export strategies and how to get more from distribution.

Brisley recently joined Pact in China to run a workshop on internalizing factual programming. He returned to China with Pact in June to attend the Shanghai TV Festival.

“Exporting should be a priority and play a key part in all business, regardless of size, shape or structure — we are no longer a domestic industry, we are a global industry,” said Dawn McCarthy-SimpsonPact‘s director of international development, in a statement.
