AMC Networks International — Latin America has named Alejandro Kember as its new vice-president of affiliate distribution for Latin America.

In his new position, Kember will oversee all distribution strategies related to AMCNI Latin America’s network portfolio, which includes AMC, SundanceTV, El Gourmet, Más Chic, Film & Arts and Europa Europa. He will also be responsible for the company’s affiliate relations across the territory.

Kember will be based out of the company’s regional headquarters in Miami and will report to Ed Palluth, EVP of global distribution, AMCNI.

Previously, Kember was VP for distribution in the Southern Cone, Andean Region and Caribbean for AMCNI, where he was responsible for managing contract negotiations, sales and marketing strategy, new product development and building the Southern Cone sales team.

Earlier, Kember was VP for affiliate sales and distribution for the Andean Region and the Southern Cone at Chello Media, before AMCNI acquired the company in 2014.

“Alejandro has played a key role in driving our portfolio’s rapid growth in recent years, as well as in the design and implementation of our launch strategy for the Andean Region, Southern Cone and Caribbean markets,” said Palluth, in a statement.
