Los Angeles-based prodco Radley Studios has hired Christie McConnell as head of development and VP of television.

In the newly created role, McConnell will oversee Radley’s core unscripted television business, working alongside Ben Grayson, director of development.

McConnell previously held development roles at All3Media, Shine America and Stephen David Entertainment. Her development and production credits include History’s The Men Who Built America and The World Wars, Tru TV’s Fake Off, and Discovery’s Gold Fever. She most recently served as showrunner for the Nashville Facebook Live aftershow, as well as producing live, digital and branded content for Whalerock Industries.

“We’re thrilled to have Christie as part of our team. She shares our passion and curiosity to tell great stories,” said Brandon Hill, president of television, in a statement.  “With her experience in digital, social, and native content, she’ll also be able to work with our digital and branded divisions to create premium unscripted content across all platforms.”

Founded in 2010, Radley Studios’ current productions include season two of People Magazine Investigates for Investigation Discovery, and Shark Vortex and Lair of the Sawfish for Discovery’s Shark Week 2017.
