Scripps Networks Interactive has expanded its presence in South Korea with the launch of lifestyle and home renovation channel HGTV on Korean broadcaster KT olleh tv.
HGTV will now serve as the first-ever regional channel dedicated exclusively to the growing home and lifestyle category in Korea.
The lifestyle channel — available on KT olleh tv packages OTV 15, 25 and 34 — is now available in nearly 60 countries and territories outside the U.S., including Asia, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, New Zealand and Poland.
Launched in the U.S. in 1994, HGTV is nearly fully distributed in America and ranks as a top 10 cable network. HGTV first launched outside of North America in 2014 and delivers inspirational home and lifestyle content.
