Scripps Networks Interactive has expanded its presence in South Korea with the launch of lifestyle and home renovation channel HGTV on Korean broadcaster KT olleh tv.

HGTV will now serve as the first-ever regional channel dedicated exclusively to the growing home and lifestyle category in Korea.

Top-rated HGTV programming that includes the likes of Property Brothers (pictured), Fixer Upper and House Hunters International will be made immediately available to KT olleh tv customers.

The lifestyle channel — available on KT olleh tv packages OTV 15, 25 and 34 — is now available in nearly 60 countries and territories outside the U.S., including Asia, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, New Zealand and Poland.

Launched in the U.S. in 1994, HGTV is nearly fully distributed in America and ranks as a top 10 cable network. HGTV first launched outside of North America in 2014 and delivers inspirational home and lifestyle content.

“HGTV is highly regarded as the preeminent destination for home-related content around the globe, with the interest in and demand for such programming only continuing to grow,” said Leena Singarajah, MD of Asia for Scripps Networks Interactive, in a statement. “We have seen HGTV garnering great success in Asia and are confident that it will be welcomed by audiences in Korea.”

“Scripps Networks Interactive offers a robust lifestyle channel portfolio that have worldwide appeal. We are certain that the launch of HGTV on KT is a great way for Korean audiences to become familiar with the high quality and diverse lifestyle content that the channel has to offer,” added Ari Park, head of distribution at LYD Networks, who secured the carriage of the channel on the platform.
