U.S. cable network WE tv is bringing matchmaking to the screen in the new unscripted series Love Blows.

The show follows the Chicago-based matchmaking service LuvBizChicago that is run by a dysfunctional – but loving – family who sometimes lets their relationships cloud their decisions.

The company is run by head matchmakers Lisa and her ex-husband Jim who have to juggle a staff of mostly young and wild matchmakers, their adult children who co-run the business and Jim’s former mistress who likes to create drama for employees and their clients.

The show will air on Friday nights after Million Dollar Matchmaker, starring Patti Stanger.

Love Blows is co-executive produced by Stanger for Patti Stanger Productions with Rob Lee for Bayonne Entertainment along with SallyAnn Salsano, the founder and president of 495 Productions, the company behind MTV’s Jersey Shore and VH1′s Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Executive producers for WE tv are Lauren P. Gellert, Lauren Lazin, David Stefanou and Angela Molloy.

Love Blows premieres Aug. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
