Armoza’s “Still Standing” licensed in Greece

Israeli-based producer and distributor Armoza Formats has been commissioned by Greek Broadcaster Antenna TV (ANT1 TV) for the first season of the primetime game show Still Standing.

Created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, Still Standing¬†¬†(60′) offers contestants the chance to win $1-million by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced trivia battles. As time runs out, contestants are dropped from the game, straight through the studio floor.

The studio-based format will make its debut in Greece in September.

Most recently, Still Standing was commissioned in India, while Italy extended its third season.

 

Bomanbridge scores sales for “Atlantic: Fire in the Ocean”

Singapore-based distribution and production agency Bomanbridge Media has announced multiple international sales for  Atlantic: Fire in the Ocean.

The nature doc has been picked up by France TV 5, Spain TVE, Rai Italy, PPTV Thailand and KBS South Korea.

Produced by Warehouse 51 and picked up by Smithsonian Channel, Atlantic: Fire in the Ocean explores a vast chain of mountains formed by underwater volcanoes. Viewers experience the natural history of a set of remote Atlantic islands, from Iceland in the north to those fringing Antarctica in the south.

 

BBC1 explores edible insects

A new doc from BBC1 will showcase the benefits of eating bugs.

The Bug Grub Couple will follow a Welsh couple who have spent the last four years building a research and education centre focused on the importance of bugs and how to produce food efficiently and sustainably.

Dr. Sarah Beynon and award-winning chef Andy Holcroft will attempt to take their ambitious plans to the next stage by launching a new food brand. They will also travel to the Netherlands to meet large-scale insect farmers and have their products tested by top food scientists.

The Bug Grub Couple is being produced in-house.
