Discovery Networks UK is resurrecting property format 60 Minute Makeover for its fledgling free-to-air channel Quest Red.

Produced by ITV Studios-owned Shiver, the 20 x 60-minute series (pictured) originally launched on ITV in 2004 and was taken off of the commercial broadcaster’s airwaves in 2014. It features high-pressured transformations set against the clock for unsuspecting homeowners, each nominated by family members or friends.

The revived format will be hosted by songwriter and TV personality Peter Andre.

Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover is executive produced by Steve Jones for Quest Red, alongside Shiver’s Rachel Bloomfield. The series was ordered by Clare Laycock and commissioned by Charlotte Reid.

Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover is the ultimate feel good TV show,” said Shiver’s creative director Richard Hastings, in a statement. “We are very excited about bringing such a well-loved show to Quest Red and working again with one of the nicest presenters in the business.”

“The much-loved franchise will give audiences their daily hit of irresistible home makeover and is a great addition to Quest Red’s line-up of real-life TV,” added Clare Laycock, VP, head of  channels at Discovery Networks UK and Ireland.

Quest Red launched as Discovery Networks’ second free-to-air channel in March.
