Thumb Candy, the newly formed digital studio division of B17 Entertainment, is working with Snap Inc. to develop and produce two new series for Snapchat’s Discover platform.

Nail the Looka fashion competition series, is set to launch on Sept. 7, coinciding with New York Fashion week. The series places two competitors in a showroom, where they strive to style the best streetwear look for an event. The series is hosted by celebrity stylist Sophie Lopez, who will highlight trends and offer styling tips.

Meanwhile, comedic prank series Fright Club premieres in October.

This past year, Snap Inc. announced a slew of collaborations with TV networks and entertainment studios to produce original series for Discover, including A+E Networks and Discovery Communications. Thumb Candy is one of the first independent prodcos to develop content for Snapchat’s corporate broadcast feature.

Thumb Candy previously produced The WWE Show and Dating Pool for Snap.

“It is an incredible opportunity for Thumb Candy to be a producer of mobile-first content for a platform the calibre of Snapchat Discover,” B-17 principals Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner said, in a statement. “We see this as a completely new art form that is challenging us as producers to think outside of the parameters we operate within when producer for linear outlets.”
