UK-based indie distributor DRG has appointed 7A Media as its first ever agent for Latin America and Hispanic U.S.

7A founder Cesar Diaz will work with Scott Kirkpatrick, DRG’s SVP for North and South America, to help find opportunities in the region for DRG’s catalogue.

DRG has grown its business in the region, with recent sales including Kate Middleton’s Wardrobe Secrets to DirecTV, My Mother Diana to Telefe and Honey I Bought the House to Discovery Latin America.

“With Cesar’s help we will now be able to work more quickly and spend more time understanding the changing needs of our clients,” said Kirkpatrick, in a statement.

The partnership comes as DRG prepares to take more than 300 hours of content to MIPCOM in October, including existing formats such as The Farm, and new titles such as My Year 12 Life.
