International broadcasters commission Talesmith and Cineflix for Rediscovering T-Rex
International broadcasters have commissioned factual prodco Talesmith and content creator and producer Cineflix to coproduce the dinosaur focused documentary Rediscovering T-Rex.
The new doc, commissioned by UK’s BBC in association with Canada’s CBC and France Télévisions (France 5) looks to expose the myths surrounding the Tyrannosaurus Rex which are fueled by gaps in scientific understanding.
Travelling the globe to gain insight from international experts, the program uncovers insights into not only what T-Rex looked like but also its behaviour. Utilizing new understanding from paleontology, zoology and technology, Rediscovering T-Rex will then attempt to create the most accurate CGI representation of the dinosaur ever produced.
Executive producers on the doc are Martin Williams for Talesmith and André Barro for Cineflix.
Cineflix Rights, the sales and distribution arm of Cineflix Media Inc., has the exclusive global rights to Rediscovering T-Rex and will be launching the copro to international buyers at Mipcom 2017.

Since joining IBD in 2015, Kuwahara has had oversight of the GEM channel in Southeast Asia, and has, according to a statement, “mobilized the organization to create a quicker, more streamlined rights clearing process for Nippon TV content export sales.”
