Global indie studio Entertainment One has added former BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) exec Joyce Yeung (pictured) to its team as EVP sales, Asia Pacific.
Based in eOne’s recently opened Hong Kong office, Yeung will lead the company’s Asia Pacific team to drive sales of eOne content to broadcasters and OTT platforms in the region.
Yeung was formerly EVP global content sales at BBCWW, where she oversaw the TV sales team’s efforts to expand the company’s portfolio. She joined BBCWW in 2008 as SVP and GM for the company’s sales and distribution business in Asia, and would go on to assume the role of EVP and GM, Asia BBCWW before taking on her most recent position.
Before joining BBCWW, Yeung held sales positions at media company Sparrowhawk Media and Disney International Television Asia Pacific.
Yeung’s appointment at eOne is part of the company’s efforts to expand its relationships with new and existing clients. Its Hong Kong office is the latest addition to its global presence, which is upheld by offices across Europe, the US, Australia, Canada and Germany.
“I can’t think of a more exciting time to join eOne as the company continues to grow and invest into premium content,” said Yeung, in a statement. “I look forward to the opportunity to contribute further growth in the APAC region.”
In August, Dan Gopal joined eOne as EVP sales, EMEA, as part of the company’s expansion efforts.
