Indie producer Nevision has inked a deal with Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions to co-produce the doc Rolling Stone: Stories From The Edge for HBO in the U.S. and Sky Arts in the UK.

The project celebrates the publication’s 50th anniversary, looking back at the events, politics and music that shaped the magazine, as well how the ground-breaking work of its writers impacted society.

The doc features performances from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and The Clash, and music from cultural icons such as Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Fleetwood Mac.

Kew Media Group, a partner with Jigsaw Productions, is on board as global distribution partner and secured the UK broadcast deal with Sky. The series will be launched internationally at MIPCOM 2017.

Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge is directed by Alex Gibney and Blair Foster and executive produced by Gibney, Blair Foster, Jann Wenner, James Cabourne. Co-executive producers are Richard Perello and Stacey Offman. For HBO, Sara Bernstein is senior producer and Sheila Nevins is executive producer.

Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge will air over two nights on HBO, on Monday Nov. 6 and Tuesday Nov. 7, from 9 to 11 p.m. EST/PST. It will air on Sky Arts on Nov. 10.
