Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Worldwide Television Distribution and RedSeven Entertainment have inked a joint venture to co-produce and distribute local versions of MGM’s formats in Germany.

The multi-year deal will see MGM and the Red Arrow Entertainment Group prodco take formats to German broadcasters, including the seed-funding competition series Steve Harvey’s Funderdome; American Gladiators; home reno competition series Minor Renovations; and Signed, which pits aspiring musicians against one another for the opportunity to be signed to a major record label.

“Our joint venture with MGM will secure us with additional attractive content for many years to come, allowing us to continue to expand our production output in Germany,” said Jobst Benthues (pictured), managing director of RedSeven Entertainment, in a statement.

Germany-based RedSeven has produced a number of series including Germany’s Next Topmodel (ProSieben) and Married at First Sight, The Biggest Loser and The Taste, all which air on the broadcaster SAT.1.
