Realscreen is thrilled to announce that Sheila Nevins, president of HBO Documentary Films, will be honored for her contribution to the documentary and television industries during a special keynote conversation at the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of Realscreen Summit.

At the helm of HBO’s hugely influential documentary team, and as an executive producer, Nevins has produced over 1,000 documentaries for the premium cable network, and, among her many accolades, has won 32 individual Primetime Emmy Awards, more than any other person.

In 2017, she added “author” to her list of accomplishments, with the publication of her New York Times best-selling book, You Don’t Look Your Age… and Other Fairy Tales (Flatiron Books). With characteristic candor, Nevins provides readers with what Meryl Streep (just one of the narrators in the audio books version) calls “an honest excavation of the process of living.”

Sheila Nevins will be presented with a special Realscreen Legacy Award during her keynote conversation at the 20th Anniversary edition of the Realscreen Summit, on Monday, January 29 at 4pm (ET). Here, she will discuss the process of penning her stories, and of course, her career as one of the most influential figures in documentary.

The Realscreen Summit takes place from January 28-31 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC.
