Electus International, the worldwide distribution arm of production studio Electus, has inked a distribution deal with Verizon and Hearst-owned digital media company Complex Networks.

Under the new deal, Electus International will distribute seven series internationally for Complex. The distributor is also looking to partner with broadcasters and platforms to create programming blocks and individual licensing deals for the media co.

The deal was brokered by John Pollak (pictured), president of worldwide television and international for Electus and Complex Networks SVP, content, Myles O’Connell at MIPCOM.

The series to be distributed are listed below, with descriptions courtesy of Electus:

“Why We Fight” 

Executive produced by Ronda Rousey, Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) first female bantamweight champion and Olympic medalist in Judo, the series goes beyond the scenes of the fight game and explores the fighting styles, motivations and struggles of athletes around the world looking to make it in their sport.

“Sneaker Shopping” 

Sneaker aficionado and Complex’s head of content strategy Joe La Puma hosts this original interview series that puts a spotlight on the styles, silhouettes and significance of sneaker culture through the eyes of bold-faced names in music, sports, film, television and pop culture.

“Complex Closets

Host Joe La Puma takes audiences inside the closets and sneaker collections of the biggest celebrities and personalities in pop culture to explore his guests’ most prized possessions and their fashion inspirations.

“Magnum Opus”

Celebrating the origins and cultural impact of some of music’s greatest songs, this series goes “behind the classics” with creators and their peers who were there when it happened.

“Going Cambo”

Survivalist Cambo teams up with hip-hop artist/producer Yelawolf to offer those willing – and able to endure it – a 48-hour adventure in the unforgiving woods of Alabama, supplied with just a knife and the clothes on their back.

“I Got Wrecked”

A deep dive into world of professional bull riding, each episode provides an all-access look at the behind-the-chutes action and a glimpse into the lives of the riders who relive some of their careers’ most dramatic wrecks as they lock horns with the most fearsome and powerful bulls in the world.

“For the Win”

Social influencer, trick shot performer and Ultimate Disc League champion Brodie Smith embarks on a massive road trip, exploring unusual destinations and trying out the coolest and most unconventional sports in the U.S.
