Female-skewing crime network Oxygen Media is venturing into the mind of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in a two-night special.
Dahmer committed the rape, murder, and dismemberment of 17 men and boys in Milwaukee between 1978 and 1991, before confessing to the gruesome murders. Christopher Scarver, who was serving a life sentence for murder, would later bludgeon Dahmer and another inmate to death on a November morning in 1994.
Produced by Glass Entertainment Group, Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks features exclusive interview footage from investigative journalist Nancy Glass who had cultivated a relationship with Dahmer during his time behind bars, in which he discussed details of his life and crimes.
The two-night event will aim to shed light on the complicated murder investigation by offering an in-depth look at Dahmer through on-and-off-camera conversations detailing the convicted killer’s disturbing crimes in his own words.
Also featured in the project are exclusive interviews from pivotal figures in the case, including parents Lionel and Shari Dahmer, and surviving victims Billy Capshaw and Preston Davis.
Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks will premiere on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. ET/PT across the NBCUniversal-owned network.
“Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks catapults viewers into Jeffrey Dahmer’s psyche, providing a unique look at the life of a serial killer that shook the nation,” said Rod Aissa, executive VP of original programming and development at Oxygen Media, in a statement. “Nancy Glass’ revealing interview with Dahmer, combined with our access to those who knew him, offers a gripping depiction of a serial killer that walked among us.”
