Mediaset snaps up two series from Armoza

Italian media group Mediaset has ordered two series from Israeli producer-distributor Armoza Formats, with a November air date set for both.

The Package, one of Armoza’s established fact-ent formats, will air on female-oriented Mediaset channel LA 5, under the local name Ti Regalo Una Storia. Each 30-minute episode follows a single package as it passes through several hands across a nation. The package’s journey is determined by the passers, each of whom turns it over to someone who has changed their life.

Meanwhile, nine episodes of Upgrade are set to air on Mediaset channel Italia1. Hosted by Italian television personality Giulio Golia, the trivia game show takes place in the homes of ordinary people, where they are given the opportunity to win upgrades for their belongings.

Upgrade was created by Saar Brodsky, Rodrigo Gonzales, Gillio Golan and Tanin Productions.

“We are happy to team up with Armoza Formats on The Package and Upgrade – two scalable formats that can be adapted to fit the needs of our viewers and apply to different demographics,” said Fabrizio Battochhio, head of formats at Mediaset Italy, in a statement. “We believe that our Italian viewers will connect with both of these captivating shows.” — Jessica Mach
