Amazon Studios has elevated Heather Schuster to the role of head of unscripted TV hours after it was announced that Conrad Riggs would be leaving the company.

Schuster (pictured) joined Amazon in August as senior creative director. Prior to Amazon, the executive was the chief content operator at Detour, a mobile app company based in San Francisco. She was also the CEO of Morocco Junction Entertainment, a media company backed by All3Media.

Schuster has held senior positions at Ryan Seacrest Productions and was SVP creative affairs and an executive producer at Reveille/Shine America from January 2011 to July 2013.

Elsewhere, Tracey Lentz has been upped to head of creative, unscripted TV and will report to Schuster out of Amazon’s Los Angeles office.

Lentz joined Amazon Studios in 2015 as head of development, unscripted — a position she came to from AMC Networks, where she was VP, unscripted programming.

Earlier today, Amazon Studios confirmed that head of unscripted programming Conrad Riggs was leaving the company. Riggs, who joined the company in July 2014, was tasked with delivering unscripted content to Amazon Prime members.

Elsewhere, Joe Lewis, head of half hour and drama series development, exited from the Jeff Bezos-owned company on Monday (Oct. 23), while entertainment chief Roy Price was suspended and subsequently resigned from the company following sexual harassment allegations.
