Discovery Channel has set an early November air date for Magilla Entertainment’s hour-long automotive special Max Grundy.

The one-off program will follow designer and builder Max Grundy, master mechanic Wayde Lundgren and the team at Max Grundy Design as they create unique custom cars and trucks unlike anything else on the road.

The special will see Grundy and his crew preparing two challenging builds to bring to the SEMA show in Las Vegas, the biggest car convention in the world that showcases the latest in custom builds. With a tight deadline, Grundy’s team will work around the clock to completely overhaul a 1954 Cab Over Engine truck and a 1961 Chrysler Newport to turn heads and capitalize on their prime placement at the 54th annual event, which runs Oct. 31 – Nov. 3 in Nevada.

Magilla Entertainment’s Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson, Jason Fox, Josh Abrahamson and Kevin Allgood serve as executive producers on Max Grundy.

For Discovery, Craig Coffman and Kyle Wheeler are executive producers, and Lindsay Malinchak is coordinating producer.

Max Grundy premieres Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery.
