Commercial UK net ITV has commissioned A Right Royal Quiz, a quiz program that takes the British royal family as its focus.

Presented by Fern Britton (pictured), A Right Royal Quiz sees two teams competing to demonstrate their knowledge on subjects such as Prince Philip’s pet names for the Queen, and which members of the royal family can breakdance.

The program will also feature a selection of experts, including English journalist and television presenter Jennie Bond, as well as appearances from self-confessed fans and other surprises.

A Right Royal Quiz was commissioned by Asif Zubairy, commissioning editor, entertainment at ITV, and will be produced by ITV Studios subsidiary Shiver. Richard Hastings serves as executive producer for Shiver, and Steve Biggs serves as producer.

“In these turbulent times, the one constant we have is the royal family – we’ve grown up with them,” said Zubairy, in a statement. “A Right Royal Quiz will test our knowledge and memory of Britain’s best-loved family.”
