Lionsgate UK has acquired the UK rights to My Generation from indie studio IM Global.

Narrated by and starring actor Michael Caine (pictured), My Generation journeys through the “Swinging Sixties” and its impact on the UK and abroad.

Produced by Simon Fuller and his company, XIX Entertainment, the doc uses film clips, archival footage and music of the era, along with interviews with pop culture icons including Paul McCartney, Roger Daltrey, Mary Quant, Marianne Faithfull, David Bailey, Twiggy and more.

The doc was completed in 2017 following five years of work, including research, the filming of over 50 interviews with significant people, and editing thousands of hours of archive

The doc world premiered at the Venice Film Festival in August and was most recently shown at the BFI London Film Festival.

My Generation is directed by David Batty and written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Producers are Fuller, Caine, Clement, Frenais and Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly. The film is executive produced by James Clayton.

The film is slated for an early 2018 release.
