Viacom’s youth-focused network MTV has greenlit the variety talent competition series Amazingness hosted by Rob Dyrdek.

Produced by Dyrdek’s prodco Superjacket Productions, the shiny floor entertainment series aims to feature some of the most talented young people in the country.

The first act of the night will shoot up to the top spot of the Amazingness chart. With a diverse mix of amateur and viral talent, each following performer will attempt to dethrone the top spot for a US$10,000 cash prize. After each performance, Dyrdek (pictured) and a star-studded panel of judges will decide who remains at pole position and who gets dropped. The last one standing will win US$10,000.

The celebrity panel of judges includes Eddie Huang, celebrity chef, producer and host of Viceland’s Huang’s World; Power106 L.A radio host Krystal Bee; and Chris “Drama” Pfaff, founder of streetwear company Young & Reckless and also Dyrdek’s cousin.

Amazingness premieres Dec. 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, preceded by the 10th season of Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness, which returns at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Amazingness is executive produced by Rob Dyrdek, Shane Nickerson and Blake Levin for Superjacket. Paul Ricci is executive producer for MTV.
