UK pubcaster Channel 4 will look back at the last year of pop icon Prince’s life in the documentary Prince’s Last Year.
Produced by Lincoln Square Productions, the doc will delve into the last 365 days of Prince’s life, including his secret gig at The White House and his first-ever solo concerts.
The 1 x 60-minute feature will feature contributions from Ceelo Green, George Clinton and Reverand Al Sharpton. The film will also follow the days leading up to his death, with interviews from friend and political commentator Van Jones, singer Eryn Allen Kane and former girlfriend Andy Allo.
The doc aims to provide insight into this complex and contradictory character, whose exceptional talent and vision propelled him to become the greatest pop star of the 20th Century.
Prince’s Last Year is produced and directed by Adrian Sibley, executive produced by Dan Goldsack. Sheldon Lazarus is creative director for Lincoln Square Productions.
