UK-based production and distribution group Tinopolis has upped Naomi Carter, previously factual group director of production, to the newly created role of chief operating officer for the division.

In her new role, Carter will work across Tinopolis’ factual and entertainment production companies – Mentorn Media, Firecracker, Thunderclap and Pioneer – to help each company find opportunities for both local and international growth.

Reporting to Tinopolis chief executive Arwel Rees, Carter will lead overall production and business management, drive commercial activity, and help negotiate with UK and international broadcasters and production partners. She will also oversee the day-to-day running of the business, including office management, post-production and IT support.

“Naomi already has a fantastic track record in supporting our creative teams to deliver shows that look amazing on screen to often tight budgets and deadlines,” said Rees in a statement. “Our business has grown significantly over the past years, so we want to take an even more strategic approach across our factual portfolio to ensure all our processes are aligned and we continue to build on our reputation for best practice.”
