Los Angeles-based T Group Productions has acquired Roger Mincheff and Anthony Kaan’s entertainment and branded content shingle Big Boots Studios.
T Group has also established its own digital studio in an effort to create to create new revenue streams and opportunities. Leading T Group Media (TGM) as president will be Mincheff (pictured), who will be responsible for creating original digital content and building out platforms for brand and relationship growth.
Mincheff reports directly into T Group president Jenny Daly in his new role.
TGM will look to build off Big Boots successes with projects currently in development for such brands as Nick Cannon’s Ncredible, Johnny Wright’s Wright Entertainment Group and multichannel network DanceOn. Big Boots has also produced original content for live music platform LiveXLive and leading social media influencers.
TGM will also work to build on its digital portfolio that already includes recent projects Entrepreneur Network’s Elevator Pitch and the Johnsonville-sponsored The Sausage Dome.
The TGM team will be based out of T Group’s Culver City, California offices, and will see Mincheff will work closely alongside Daly, Rob Lobl, executive VP of development and current programming, and David Kelleher, exec VP and head of production.
Since its founding in February 2016, Big Boots has built out digital channels and platforms for major networks, individual celebrities, athletes and entertainment companies.
Prior to launching the shingle, Mincheff served as head of Relativity Media’s digital studio division. Kaan, meanwhile, was formerly VP of original content of Relativity Digital Studios before boarding the Beverly Hills-based outfit as GM and head of content programming.
Before Relativity, Mincheff led the creation of Fox Digital Studio and served as president of Myspace Entertainment.
Kaan was previously a branded entertainment executive at public relations and marketing consultancy firm Edelman.
“This new studio allows T Group to serve as a one stop shop, offering a complete 360-degree approach for brands, talent and third party producers,” said Daly in a statement. “Together, TGM and T Group will feed each other across digital and linear, utilizing both worlds to engage content across all media.”
“Because T Group’s vision is holistic and spans all media, TGM’s reach and resources will allow us to create partnerships of unprecedented value,” added Mincheff.
