Youth-focused brand Vice Media will premiere three original series on Facebook’s streaming platform, Watch.
The weekly multiscreen series, The Scarlet Letter Reports, Breaking & Entertaining and The Hangover Show, are slated to launch in the coming months.
Developed by Vice’s women-focused brand Broadly, Scarlet Letter Reports (pictured) is a five-episode series hosted by Amanda Knox, an American who spent almost four years in an Italian prison following a wrongful murder conviction. The series aims to explore the gendered nature of public shaming, with Knox interviewing model and actress Amber Rose, teen rape victim Daisy Coleman and more, to discuss their experiences being sexualized, scrutinized and demonized by the media. It will also explore how they’ve rebuilt their lives after their intimate details became public.
Also heading to Watch is the five-episode home reno series Breaking & Entertaining. The series features a person who nominated their household, unknown to his or her roommates, to throw a Vice-furnished party that trashes the home. The following morning, a cleanup crew arrives and kicks out the roommate, and surprises them upon their return with a newly renovated and refurnished home.
Rounding out Vice’s originals is The Hangover Show, a five-episode series featuring butcher and cook Cara Nicoletti, who invites her chef and comedian friends over after a big night out. She then makes them her favorite hangover foods while also offering viewers tips on how to combat hangovers.
