San Francisco-based Indigo Films has appointed Erin Howard as senior vice-president of development.

Howard will head up the company’s  Los Angeles office and report directly to company president and CEO David Frank.

Howard has spent the last 15 years creating and producing unscripted television across multiple genres including true crime, game shows, home transformation, and docusoaps for broadcast, cable and digital platforms.

Howard most recently served as SVP of development for Hoff Productions. During her tenure at Hoff, Howard developed series for such networks as Travel Channel, HGTV, A&E, History Channel, Discovery and Animal Planet.

Before joining Hoff, Howard spent three years as SVP of development at Big Table Media, producing such shows as DIY’s Rustic Renovation. Prior to Big Table, Hoff spent four years at Jupiter Entertainment as VP development, responsible for creating all programming including Discovery’s Sons of Guns, Animal Planet’s Wild West Alaska, ID’s Sins and Secrets and TLC’s Welcome to Myrtle Manor.

Indigo Films currently has series and projects for networks including Animal Planet, Travel Channel, TLC, A&E and Oxygen.
