France-based prodco WeMake has closed a first-look deal Global Agency, an indie TV content distributor of formats and series.

Under the terms of the agreement, WeMake will have an exclusive first look at all of the distributor’s existing and future projects, in order to have sole adaptation rights for the French market.

Bouchra Rejani, the former head of Shine France launched WeMake in June 2017 in association with French indie Federation Entertainment. The company develops original non-scripted programming, digital content and drama for the French and global market while looking to acquire format and develop international partnerships.

In September, the prodco tapped former Talpa exec Moe Bennani to the role of creative director of unscripted.

“France has always been one of our key territories and three of our formats, Joker, Shopping Monsters and My Wife Rules, are some of the greatest hits in the region that we’re proud of,” said Izzet Ressam Pinto, founder and CEO of Global Agency, in a statement. “I am so confident that thanks to this collaboration, more of Global Agency’s formats will be broadcasted in France soon.”
