UK pubcaster Channel 4 is readying a one-off special of the award-winning Secret Life of 5 Year Olds series.

From Banijay Group-owned RDF Television, The Secret Life of 5 Year Olds: Here Come the Girls (w/t) will feature a cast of all girls and will explore how they see themselves and their futures. They will also examine the role of women in 2018 as well as their attitudes towards inequality and fairness.

A classroom and playground are rigged with cameras, and under the supervision of two teachers, the girls take part in tasks and activities that reveal their relationships, attitudes and opinions. Experts Dr. Elizabeth Kilbey and Laverne Antrobus will watch the action from behind the scenes.

The series was commissioned by Alf Lawrie, part of the specialist factual commissioning team with Channel 4, with Maia Liddell serving as an executive producer with RDF.
