Realscreen is revealing the hosts and finalists for this year’s edition of the Summit Showdown, a live pitch competition taking place at the Realscreen Summit on Tuesday, January 30, at 4:45 p.m.

Scott Wolf will host what is regularly one of the Summit’s most popular sessions, in which delegates have the opportunity to pitch their non-fiction or unscripted program or series to a panel of esteemed network judges.

Before starring on the acclaimed television series Party of Five, Wolf worked on a number of features with such directors as Ridley Scott (White Squall) and Doug Liman (Go), and opposite Shirley MacLaine and Juliette Lewis in The Evening Star (the sequel to Terms of Endearment). Scott just finished runs on back-to-back series (Perception on TNT and most recently NBC’s The Night Shift.)

Along with his acting career Scott has also appeared as a guest host on numerous talk shows including ABC’s Live with Kelly and Ryan, NBC’s The Today Show and CBS’s The Talk.

This year, National Geographic and WE tv are also joining the fun, and will each provide one winning pitch a $20,000 development deal, to be presented live at the Showdown. Judges from each network will receive pitches live on stage from finalists with projects geared specifically for that network, and will then choose the winning project for their networks before the Summit audience.

Judging the pitches for National Geographic will be Alan Eyres, SVP of programming and development; Charlie Parsons, VP of development; and Igal Svet, senior director of development. Judges for WE tv are David Stefanou, SVP of development, Angela Molloy, VP of development; and Amanda Culkowski, director of development.

Finalists for each network are as follows:
National Geographic
Growing Up Female in the Muslim World – Auspicious Media
Shishmaref is Melting – The Content Farm
Pretense: Myth, Belief and Meaning in America – Scott Henson Media/Creative Communications

WE tv
The Baby Dolls – The Woodshed
Burlesque Bootcamp – Real Big Hits
WOW (Women of the World) – Bolton Media Productions

Good luck to all the finalists!
