Oxygen Media to release companion docuseries to its scripted series Dirty John

Oxygen Media is prepping a docuseries about John Meehan to coincide with its scripted anthology series, Dirty John.

Produced by Herzog & Co and Los Angeles Times Studios, the docuseries will investigate the real-life “Dirty John” through the eyes of those he deceived and whose lives were torn apart by his deceit and manipulation.

Mark Herzog and Christopher G. Cowen will serve as executive producers.

Based on the articles and true crime podcast Dirty John from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, the series tells the story of how a romance with the charismatic John Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and ultimately survival with consequence for an entire family.
