German-based Red Arrow Studios and Kinetic Content have inked an exclusive deal with former unscripted ABC exec John Saade and his production outfit Spinnaker Chaos.

Spinnaker Chaos will be housed at Kinetic Content’s Los Angeles-based office. Saade will work with the company’s CEO Chris Coelen, co-heads of development Karrie Wolfe and Katie Griffin, and Eric Detwiler, EP in charge of programming.

Saade and his prodco will also team with Michael Schmidt, CCO at Red Arrow Studios, and its creative team on global format development and international production rollouts. The deal will focus on developing entertainment formats, and projects based on history, science and technology. The partners have already set up multiple projects at both cable and broadcast networks.

Saade spent over a decade at ABC, overseeing Dancing with the StarsThe BachelorShark Tank and more. Until 2013, he served as EVP, alternative series & late-night programming at ABC Primetime Entertainment.

All projects from this venture will be produced by Kinetic Content in association with Spinnaker Chaos, with Red Arrow Studios International handling worldwide format distribution.

Amy Graves, who was previously MD at Core Media Group, joins Saade. Kinetic also recently hired Paul Lima to serve as VP of development.
