HGTV Canada heads to Buyers Bootcamp
Scott McGillivray‘s Buyers Bootcamp, a new 10-episode series, will premiere in Canada on April 1 at 9 p.m EST/PST on HGTV. The hour-long series, which makes its U.S. debut before the Canadian premiere via DIY Network on March 3, is produced by McGillivray Entertainment in association with HGTV Canada and Scripps Networks Interactive.
McGillivray launched his indie prodco in 2015, with a focus on producing lifestyle content. The first series produced by the company was the reality TV special Moving the McGillivrays.
Buyers Bootcamp follows McGillivray working with first-time home flippers as he lends expertise on renovation, real estate and investment. Each episode will see McGillivray tour two potential partners’ homes to identify what needs to be done to get the biggest return on investment once the houses are resold. Once the stronger of the two is selected, McGillivray personally invests in the project and leads the charge in tackling the renovation, with the episode culminating in an open house.
McGillivray has been the star of other home reno shows such as Home to Win (set to return for a third season in April) and Income Property.
