Ahead of the premiere of A+E owned History’s Truck Night in America tonight (March 8), realscreen presents an exclusive clip.

From Endemol Shine North America’s 51 Minds, Truck Night in America follows 50 truck owners from across the U.S. as they compete in extreme challenges in an effort to win US$10,000.

Each episode features five drivers going head-to-head in three competitions to test their vehicles’ speed, strength and handling. Two finalists participate in a three-mile obstacle course known as “The Green Hell” which challenges the vehicles to fly off jumps, climb a mountain of crushed cars, and drive through a snake-infested swamp.

Competitors will showcase their craftsmanship by rejigging their trucks and jeeps for the next round in between competitions.

Helping the contestants are four vehicle experts: desert racing champion and track builder, Pete Sohren; extreme sports pioneer and dirt track racer, Glen Plake; truck builder, Abe Wine and rock crawling champion, Rob Park.

Christian Sarabia and James Patrick Costello II are executive producers for 51 Minds. Bert Klasey, Mike Stiller, Dolores Gavin and Mary Donahue are the executive producers for History. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for the series.

Truck Night in America premieres March 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on History.
