Glasgow-headquartered STV Productions has appointed Jim Regan to the newly-created role of head of daytime and popular factual to support the company’s growth both domestically and abroad.

Regan will be tasked with developing new content and overseeing returning shows including Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. In 2017, the BBC commissioned series 15 -18 of the former and the eighth series of the latter.

Regan joins STV from Remedy Productions where he was head of Remedy Scotland, overseeing development projects and executive producing Channel 4′s quiz show Fifteen to One.

Before joining Remedy, Regan was at FremantleMedia as part of their international team, creating entertainment and factual global brands.

In February, STV tapped Nick Johns for another newly created position, head of entertainment development.
