This year’s Banff World Media Festival will be toplined by keynote presentations from NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt (pictured left) and NBCUniversal (NBCU) chairman of global distribution and international Kevin MacLellan (right).

NBCU, the event’s 2018 Company of Distinction, will bring an additional roster of eight of its most senior execs as panelists to the Alberta festival, including Meredith Ahr, president, Universal Television Alternative Studio; Luis Silberwasser, president Telemundo Networks; Paul Telegdy, president, alternative and reality group, NBC Entertainment; and Jeff Wachtel, president, International Studios.

Deirdre Brennan, GM, Universal Kids, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment; Pearlena Igbokwe, president, Universal Television; and Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents, scripted programming, NBC Entertainment will also be featured as panelists at the fest.

“We’re delighted to welcome Bob and Kevin and such an extensive lineup of senior NBCUniversal executives to the festival to mark this year’s Company of Distinction honors,” commented Jenn Kuzmyk, executive director of the Banff World Media Festival. “As some of the most influential television executives of the past decade, this group’s extensive knowledge of broadcast television and insight on key industry trends will no doubt inspire us in what are sure to be compelling and thought-provoking sessions.”

This year marks the 39th annual edition of the festival, which runs from June 10 to 13, 2018 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
