Multi-platform media co Complex Networks has appointed Christian Baesler to the newly created role of president.

Based out of the company’s New York office, Baesler will be tasked with growing the company’s portfolio of brands, including Complex, First We Feast, Rated Red, Sole Collector and Pigeons & Planes, while also overseeing the daily operations of Complex.

Baesler reports directly into company CEO Rich Antoniello when he takes on the role beginning April 2.

The new exec comes to Complex Networks from his former position as president of Bauer Xcel Media, Bauer Media Group’s global digital division, where he oversaw its UK and U.S. businesses.

After spending nearly a decade at Hamburg-headquartered Bauer Media Group, Baesler created the New York-based Bauer Xcel Media with a focus on growing its online brands and expanding its global digital footprint.

Complex Networks produces more than 30 daily and weekly series across its various brands, via its YouTube and social channels, as well as through a growing list of distributors that includes Verizon, Fuse, Facebook and MSG Network, among others.
