Kanal D Int’l, Antenna Group ink content deal
Kanal D International, the global business arm of Turkish media conglomerate Dogan TV Holding, will distribute Antenna Group’s content as part of a new partnership agreement.
Under the terms of the deal, Kanal D Int’l will become an exclusive partner to Antenna and will rep 600 hours of the company’s content across various regions around the world. Kanal D has long-standing relations with TV stations across the globe, which according to a statement from the company, “will expand Antenna’s content footprint in the whole content world.”
Founded in 1988 by Minos Kyriakou, international and entertainment organization Antenna Group operates across Europe, North America and Australia.
Pregnant and Platonic sells through Europe
Tel Aviv-based content creator and distributor Gil Formats has sent its factual entertainment format Pregnant and Platonic (pictured) to producers in key European territories.
Talpa Media in Germany and Reservoir Prod in France will produce localized versions of the format for their regions.
Co-developed by Gil Formats with U.S.-based prodco MY Entertainment, Pregnant and Platonic looks at the men and women who are having a child without becoming romantically involved and the process of co-parenting.
The show, which is based on Gil Formats CEO Assaf Gil’s personal journey to parenthood, has already been picked up by ITV Finland and Bulldog TV in Spain, while a UK version of the format is slated to air on BBC2 during 2019.
Zig Zag, Global Agency ink format deal
British indie Zig Zag Productions has signed a format option agreement with Istanbul-based content distributor Global Agency.
Under the deal, the leading indie distributor has acquired the format rights to Zig Zag’s entertainment format Kids Cook The Funniest Things! for the world, minus the UK and U.S., with Zig Zag retaining the rights to sell and produce the format for those territories.
In Kids Cook the Funniest Things!, a celebrity chef is tasked with bringing outlandish food ideas from three children to reality.
