On tap for this week’s edition of ‘Renewed and Returning’ are new seasons of series on Insight TV, DIY Network and TLC.
Returning to Discovery, Inc.-owned lifestyle net TLC is Long Island Medium on April 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Produced by Magilla Entertainment, the two-hour premiere features reality TV personality Theresa Caputo as she heads to Fire Island to conduct a group reading. Later, she and her husband confront their issues and discuss the future of their marriage. Also included in the season is a two-hour finale featuring Buddy Valastro of TLC’s Cake Boss, Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Melissa Etheridge, actor’s Tituss Burgess and Robert Patrick, and fitness guru Jillian Michaels.
Elsewhere, a new season of the renovation series Big Beach Builds will return to Discovery, Inc.-owned sister channel DIY Network.
Produced by Leopard USA, part of the Argonon Group, the new eight-episode season features fifth-generation builder Marnie Ousler as she revamps rundown beachside properties into dream getaways in the seaside communities surrounding Bethany Beach, Delaware. The new season premieres April 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Also returning to DIY Network is contractor and carpenter Jeff Devlin for a second season of Stone House Revival (pictured).
Produced by Mid North Collective, the 14-episode season – which returns April 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT - will showcase Devlin as he refurbishes century-old homes in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The contractor tackles dilapidated exteriors and old interiors to transform some of the country’s oldest houses one stone at a time. In the premiere episode, Devlin and his team of restoration experts will reveal the historic charm of a home built in 1782.
Finally, factual entertainment streaming channel Insight TV has ordered a sophomore season run of thrill-seeking adventure series Secrets of DarkFEST.
In partnership with Monster Energy, Secrets of DarkFEST offers mountain bike fans from around the world the behind-the-scenes look at the trials and tribulations of creating one of the world’s craziest mountain bike events. The 2018 event has a new location in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and fans get a chance to see how the world’s biggest MTV challenge is organized, how riders prep and more. Season two will premiere later this year.
