Dogwoof sells The Price of Everything

UK documentary distributor Dogwoof has sold pay-TV rights of Nathanial Kahn’s The Price of Everything to Canal+ in France and Africa, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, and Movistar + in Spain.

Picking up all sales rights to the 105-minute film, which serves as an exposé on the role of art in today’s consumerist society, are Madman in Australia and New Zealand, and Weltkino in Germany and Austria.

The doc premiered at 2018 Sundance Film Festival, where HBO Documentary Films acquired the U.S. television rights, and is produced by Jennifer Blei Stockman and Debi Wisch for Hot & Sunny Productions, and Carla Solomon for Anthos Media, with Lisa Remington and Kayla Malahiazer as co-producers.

Prank Star shines in Chile and French-speaking Belgium
Tel Aviv-based content creator and distributor Gil Formats has sold entertainment format Prank Star, a studio show searching for the country’s top prankster, to Butterfish Group in French-speaking Belgium, and Efe3 in Chile.
The deals are the latest in a string of international sales for the format, which includes France by R&G, Spain by Zebra Productions, Holland and Flemish-speaking Belgium by Tuvalu, and in the U.S. by Lionsgate. The Italian version of the format launched on Mediaset’s Italia 1 in March 2017.

The series revolves around the search for the country’s best prankster. Following an audition process, the show gives contestants specific pranks, hidden camera challenges and comedy scenarios that they must try to pull off. The best pranksters will then advance to a finale, where they perform pranks on a larger and more daring scale.

U.S.and Finland bet on Buying Blind

Red Arrow Studios International’s format Buying Blind (pictured) has sold to Nelonen in Finland and, as previously announced, to Bravo in the U.S.

Created by Kinetic Content, the format follows an indecisive couple as they allow an expert team to choose a property for the couple, and then complete a renovation of the house before its revealed to the couple.

The Finnish format will be produced by Moskito Television, and these deals join previously announced sales, including Nine Network in Australia, produced by Endemol Shine Australia; RTL Netherlands, produced by Wise Monkeys; and M6 France, produced by Studio89.
