The Proposal (10 x 60 minutes) will follow 10 eligible male and female daters as they compete in four pageant-style rounds to woo a mysterious suitor, whose identity has been concealed from them until the end of each hour.
The series is produced by Fleiss’s Next Entertainment, in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television.
Former NFL quarterback and television presenter Jesse Palmer (pictured), who appeared in season five of The Bachelor, will host the series.
Each self-contained episode will see challengers competing in a “first impressions” round; a beachwear round; a romantic question-and answer session from the mystery suitor in round three; and striving to receive a seal of approval from the mystery suitor’s family member in the final round.
Contestants will be whittled down after each phase, leading to the reveal when the two remaining daters come face to face with the mystery suitor for the first time and “present a romantic proposal of their choice. Will there be a marriage proposal that can’t be refused?”
The Proposal is executive produced by Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton, James Breen and Jason Ehrlich, and premieres this summer across the ABC Television Network.
